Kitty Wells: Queen of Country Music to Open in August 2008

NASHVILLE, Tenn., April 21, 2008 - The Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum will pay tribute to the genre’s first female superstar, Kitty Wells, with the cameo exhibition Kitty Wells:  Queen of Country Music.  The exhibit will open in the Museum’s East Gallery on August 15, 2008, and will run through June 2009.

NASHVILLE, Tenn., April 17, 2008 - The Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum’s successful quarterly program series Nashville Cats: A Celebration of Music City Session Players returns on Saturday, May 3, with a salute to legendary guitarist Reggie Young.  The 2:00 p.m. program, which will be held in the Museum’s Ford Theater, is included with Museum admission and is free to Museum members.

NASHVILLE, Tenn., April 9, 2008-The Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum is preparing to dim the lights on Marty Robbins:  Among My Souvenirs, Presented By Great American Country Television Network, which opened in the Museum’s East Gallery on August 3, 2007.  In anticipation of the exhibit’s June 9 denouement, the Museum is offering a packed May/June lineup of Robbins-themed programs including a tribute concert featuring Jesse Lee Jones & Brazilbilly with Ronny Robbins on Saturday, May 10; a country costuming program for kids featuring Katy K on Saturday, May 24; a series of film screenings and more.

NASHVILLE, Tenn., January 15, 2008 - On Saturday, February 2, the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum will explore Marty Robbins’ passion for auto racing in the panel discussion Hell on Wheels: Marty Robbins at the Racetrack.  The program, which will begin at 2:00 p.m. in the Museum’s Ford Theater, will survey the singer-songwriter’s dedication to the sport, and even include rare audio clips of Robbins himself discussing his racing exploits.
