NASHVILLE, Tenn., April 21, 2008 - The Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum will pay tribute to the genre’s first female superstar, Kitty Wells, with the cameo exhibition Kitty Wells: Queen of Country Music. The exhibit will open in the Museum’s East Gallery on August 15, 2008, and will run through June 2009.
NASHVILLE, Tenn., April 17, 2008 - The Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum’s successful quarterly program series Nashville Cats: A Celebration of Music City Session Players returns on Saturday, May 3, with a salute to legendary guitarist Reggie Young. NASHVILLE, Tenn., April 9, 2008-The Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum is preparing to dim the lights on Marty Robbins: Among My Souvenirs, Presented By Great American Country Television Network, which opened in the Museum’s East Gallery on August 3, 2007. In anticipation of the exhibit’s June 9 denouement, the Museum is offering a packed May/June lineup of Robbins-themed programs including a tribute concert featuring Jesse Lee Jones & Brazilbilly with Ronny Robbins on Saturday, May 10; a country costuming program for kids featuring Katy K on Saturday, May 24; a series of film screenings and more.
NASHVILLE, Tenn., April 4, 2008 - Business leader and cultural arts activist Steve Turner, the founder of the Nashville-based investment firm Marketstreet Equities Company, was recently elected as the new chairman of the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum’s Board of Officers and Trustees. Singer-songwriter-guitar-chieftain Vince Gill was voted president for a seventh consecutive one-year term.

NASHVILLE, Tenn., February 6, 2008 - Harold and Don Reid, founding members of superstar quartet the Statler Brothers, will be featured in a special program at the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum at noon on Thursday, February 28. During the interactive program, which will take place in the Museum’s Ford Theater, the Reids will discuss their careers and their new book, Random Memories, a collection of stories encompassing the entertainers’ four decades in show business. They will also answer audience questions during the program, which is included with Museum admission and is free to Museum members.

NASHVILLE, Tenn., January 15, 2008 - On Saturday, February 2, the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum will explore Marty Robbins’ passion for auto racing in the panel discussion Hell on Wheels: Marty Robbins at the Racetrack. The program, which will begin at 2:00 p.m. in the Museum’s Ford Theater, will survey the singer-songwriter’s dedication to the sport, and even include rare audio clips of Robbins himself discussing his racing exploits.
NASHVILLE, Tenn., December 19, 2007 - The Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum will be closed on Tuesdays during January and February. In addition, the Museum will be closed on Monday, February 4; and the Museum Store will be closed February 4 - 12.
NASHVILLE, Tenn., December 6, 2007 - The Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum will welcome some of Music City’s finest songwriters to the Ford Theater each Saturday in January during its weekly Songwriter Session programs. The Songwriter Sessions, which begin at noon, will feature Dave Gibson and Daisy Dern (Jan. 5), Thom Schuyler (Jan. 12), Stephony Smith and Shelly Fairchild (Jan. 19) and Marc Beeson (Jan. 26). NASHVILLE, Tenn., November 26, 2007 - Prolific songwriter Craig Wiseman will bring his guitar, his optimistic attitude and his philosophies on life and songwriting to the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum on Saturday, December 15, at 2:00 p.m. Wiseman is the fourth composer to be honored in the Museum’s successful programming series Poets and Prophets: Legendary Country Songwriters, which debuted in March.
